I have been thinking about adding literature into my 3rd grade recorder curriculum. In the past I have used the story Tailypo with a simple tune for the repetition of the word Tailypo. As I troll through lists of books, I am reminded of great stories with repetitive phrases that might be good for composing for the students, but there are also the names of books which I don't know. How can I tell if they will be ones I want to buy? I could go to the library and hope that they are there and sit and read them.
The faster way is to look on youtube to see if someone has posted a video of the book being read. Many of these books can be found online, and can give me a quick glimpse to decide if it's a book that I can use or not.
