Vista Winter Sing

Tonight is the annual Winter Sing at Vista, the school where I teach general music (K-6) and after-school strings. Every year we have a big dress rehearsal at the church, but this year we have no money for busses, so each class just practiced on their own. I'll have to say that I did, in no way, miss the dress rehearsal. It is the worst part of the whole program - controlled chaos. Tonight will tell if we actually need a dress rehearsal in the future. I'm sure that it will all go well.

My recorder students have their two pieces memorized. My beginning strings are very excited about playing Jingle Bells, and the small orchestra is going to play their two pieces well.

The concert starts at 6:30, and we should be done by 7:30. Tomorrow I have one private lesson, then I am done teaching until 2010!
